Start binned app directly by clicking mini-icon
It would be great to start a binned app directly by clicking targeted on the small icon inside a bin, bypassing the submenu.

Request accepted! No specific date I can give, but this is one of the next options we plan to add to Bins after this month’s upcoming feature-filled update. (This feature is not in the 1.0 update.)
With this new option, when clicking a Bin you’ll be able to choose between launching the primary icon, launching all icons in the Bin, launching the mini-icon directly under the cursor, or just opening/closing the Bin.

Allow showing Bin as a full-size icon instead of 4x4 mini-icons
I like the 4x4 mini-icons in some cases, but in other cases I wish I could just pick a single full-size group-icon to represent the Bin if nothing is running in it.

Good news! This feature has been added :) (Screenshot: http://bit.ly/uymGgG)
A variety of options are now available for what icon shows when.
Interested in hearing feedback once it’s available – thanks! -
Grid style Bins
When I add more than a few icons to my Bin it becomes harder to handle. I want to be able to put my binned icons into a 3x2/4x2/etc grid

Show labels for binned icons on mouseover (tooltips)
I have a bin with more than a few icons in it. It would be helpful if I could see the titles of the shortcuts on mouseover (or after hovering for a moment... so, tooltips)

Good news! This has been added. (Screenshot: http://bit.ly/u0I2dr)
Considering adding an option to only show labels on links to files / etc, but now that I have labels on all the time (and don’t seem to mind them like I thought I would), going to wait to see what everyone thinks once its available.

Bin's ram usage
Bins uses a good 50MB+ of RAM...that's not so good for people on 1GB-RAM computers.

We’ve added an option to Bins to switch into low-memory mode, intended for use on systems with very little memory. This mode may slightly impact the program’s responsiveness, but overall you should be good.
In the upcoming January update, you can find this setting in the “More Tweaks” area of “Taskbar Powerups”.

Make it easier to customize icons
I have several websites in my Bins/Taskbar which do not have proper icons. I wish it were easier to give them better looking icons!

Program icons are too faint
When a program is open within a bin, the remaining icons for unopened programs are too faint and are hard to recognize. I'm not even sure a distinction is needed here if a hoverover will show will show which program(s) is open.

Add stacks(os x style),Basically a dynamic folder showing up as a bin.
We all now the downloads stack from os x .
Showing up as a fan.
The fan is not important but the fact you can see a changing directory as a bin.
And also then it's important that there are more view options for bins with many items(menu style)134 votesunder review ·

Windows 8 Support
I realize that Windows 8 is not even in beta yet, but I was wondering if there was a way to enable Windows 8 to use Bins. I've been spoiled so much with Windows 7 Bins that I find it much more difficult to work without it.

No update yet sorry. Will be posting here once ready but haven’t been able to take a look yet. Hang tight! For reference, the main item here is actually getting Bins to load up with explorer ; from what I’ve tested so far the code product works just fine once loaded, other than a few tweaks I need to make for detecting taskbar elements.
By the way, while updating Bins to fix compatibility with the 3rd party product DisplayFusion I had to have Bins not-really-running for almost a week – so I understand your pain!
Thanks

Have an option to disable opening the first app in a bin by clicking the bin icon.
I put one of my bins next to my browser icon, and I very often click on it accidentally, launching the first program in the bin, which happens to be Total War: Shogun 2. Now it's pretty inconvenient to be in the middle of browsing then have a huge resource-hogging game suddenly pop out because of an accidental click. I'd like to see an option to disable that functionality.

DisplayFusion Compatibility.
I'm aware it would cause a rift between two developers, but surely there's a way both could work together and get Bins functionality to behave well with DisplayFusion's extra taskbar for multi-monitor set ups!

Hi all. Working with the people at DisplayFusion right at this very moment :) Haven’t yet been able to solve the problem, but we’re working at it. Thanks!
UPDATE! Still working at it, but may have a fix. If anyone would like to try http://oneup.blob.core.windows.net/storage/Installers/BinsSetup224.exe (you’ll need to reboot after the update for it to have effect) feel free. Otherwise sit tight and we’ll let you know when it’s fixed for sure. Thanks!

Make icons in bins smaller (when using small-icons taskbar mode)
Make the icons in bins the same size as taskbar icons. (I have my the 'small icons' setting enabled on my taskbar)

Add the ability to change the icon for any bin
Can we add the ability to add a custom icon for any bin, since the software seems to be a cross between a dock and a taskbar, docks usually allow custom icons so it would seem obvious to add this.
Right clicking on a bin would have a menu entry such as "Change icon for bin" which would open a browser.

Menu style Bins
When I add more than a few icons to my Bin it becomes harder to handle. I want to be able to display my Bin as a menu (which comes open on mouseover just like regular Bins)

Hi smnbss. Thanks and I actually have talked to the ultramon guys! Actually it’s just one gentleman doing development I believe; his name is Christian. Unfortunately our chat wasn’t around integrating our technologies as this would take an incredible amount of work, but if the idea really takes off then you never know :) Thanks for the suggestion.

Good news! We’re adding them to the next version of Bins. You’ll be able to add them to the taskbar in the Taskbar Powerups area of the new settings screen, and then drag them into a Bin if you so choose.

Call attention to the default icon in the bin
Make the default application icon larger, or highlight in some other way so you can tell at a glance which app will be launched when you click the bin.
Placing the default icon in a consistent place (upper-right) would also be nice.
Also, perhaps make a larger middle section in the drop area that designates the default app so you can easily change and identify the default app.

Good news, this feature has been added to the next update of Bins coming in January.
For now the option is to put a star on the primary icon, but open to other thoughts for future updates!

Two-stage (expandable/contactable) Bins
The way I have Bins configured, my Bins contain several links that I use all the time, alongside several links that I use only rarely. Even though I don't use them often I still want them in the Bin to have them on hand, but they get in the way of my frequent-use links. How about allowing me to select certain links to hide away until I click some sort of expansion-arrow or hover over the taskbar icon for an extended period of time?
